Clear Easy Before Starting Hard

Difficulty progression is sequential, with Easy completion opening Hard. Use the first clear to learn the opening defense and the relationship between attackers, income and door development before moving to the extra entrance.

The useful lesson from Easy is a repeatable opening, not an assumption that the entire setup transfers unchanged. Hard asks you to watch more than one doorway, so the defense plan needs to reflect the second entrance.

Avoid devoting the entire plan to the door you notice first. Check both entrances and identify which is under pressure before the next purchase. A strong-looking defense at one doorway does not answer a problem happening at the other.

Keep some flexibility in the budget and in your attention. The most useful next action depends on the entrance that currently needs it, rather than a fixed instruction to distribute every purchase equally. Discuss the threatened door clearly when playing with others.

Prepare for the Named Hard Threats

Thorn Warden, Grave Mender and Cursed Priest are named Hard-mode enemies. Call out which enemy is at the threatened entrance, then keep attention on that door.

Keep attackers contributing to the entrance fights and develop the door requirements for useful higher upgrades. The mode's Not So Hard! completion badge is identified in the walkthrough, giving the clear a concrete progression goal.

If the attempt fails, review whether attention or investment concentrated on one entrance while the other struggled. That produces a useful change for the next run, instead of replacing every part of the build without identifying the problem.

Read door sustain for repairs and support or tower choices when selecting the missing role.
