Survive The Night Build Towers Around the House Entrance
Place your opening Crossbow in Survive The Night, leave room for income and support, and choose later towers by their reach and defense purpose.
Start tower building in Survive The Night with a Crossbow near your house door, then add a Farm or Money Printer. Expand the layout around useful roles rather than filling every available space with another attacker.
Place the Opening Crossbow at the Entrance
The starter Crossbow establishes ranged damage for the doorway fight. Put it near the entrance as part of the opening sequence, then watch whether enemies remain there longer than your defense can handle. The purpose of its position is contributing to that fight.
Avoid planning a large formation before the first attacker and income source are functioning. You can learn more from a small working setup than from an unfinished arrangement that consumes all your spending before it protects the house.
Reserve Space for Income and Support
| Choice | Purpose | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| Crossbow near door | Opening ranged damage | Establish the first attacker |
| Farm or Printer | Coins for later development | Balance economy with survival |
| Medical Base coverage | Door healing | Keep the entrance within range |
| Flamethrower reach | Stronger close damage | Choose a position that reaches enemies |
Farms and Money Printers generate match Coins for later structures and upgrades. Include income in the plan so adding damage does not exhaust the ability to improve it. Expand the economy when the door gives you enough breathing room for that investment.
Medical Base has a placement requirement that changes its purpose: the door must be within its effective range for the healing beam. Treat that coverage as the reason for its location. It is support for the entrance, so it belongs alongside useful attackers rather than replacing them.
Expand Around a Missing Role
Flamethrower trades shorter range for higher damage than Crossbow. Consider it when your layout can bring that damage to enemies at the door. Mortar's high single-hit damage and strongest-enemy targeting address heavier threats. Those are different reasons to add a tower.
Before building another structure, finish this sentence: this purchase helps the house by doing a particular job. If your existing tower already covers that job, an upgrade may be more useful than an unfocused addition. If the next upgrade is door-tier gated, resolve that requirement first.
The tower roster guide explains the six roles. Use tower upgrades when an existing attacker is the next useful investment.
